چکیده

Lungs.?Right lung bound down to the ribs by firm adhesions : entire lung in a state of red hepatization, bronchi congested and full of froth ; apex contains several empty cavities small in size and with firm fibrous wall Left lung congested throughout?in the first stage of pneumonia. Spleen.?Enlarged, 6 X 3| inches ; the free anterior margin near the apex divided into 3 lobes by 2 fissures, and the upper thick end of the organ divided from the rest of the spleen by a deep fissure on the convex surface. Liver.? Rather small; displaced upwards and to the left by a hydronephrotic kidney ; it is congested. Stomach.?Nearly empty ; contains no fluid and only a little solid half-digested food. Intestines.? Of a dark green colour ; contains a little alimentary matter and faeces. Kidneys.? Detailed below. Brain.?Sinuses gorged ; some serum in the arachnoid ; pia mater deeply congested ; surface of the brain traversed by a network of black distended veins, contrasting with the bright red injection of the minute vessels and capillaries ; there is some capillary effusion.
